Giselle Guanes, Ph.D.

Giselle Guanes-Melgarejo is a graduate student and teaching and research associate at the Ohio State University in Engineering Education. She earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University.

Besides working on research about social justice in service learning programs and empathy in decision making, she is passionate about empowering and mentoring engineering students.

Giselle's long-term goal is to allow students to engage in engineering work while working with communities meaningfully.
